MasterChef: The Professionals 2020 winner Alex Webb is taking up residency at Number One Park Lane terrace from 3 May to 28 July. At his three-month pop-up, Alex will be serving up a selection of British-inspired sharing plates, perfectly paired with Hattingley Valley wines, English cider from Sandford Orchards and three signature cocktails inspired by the menu.

The Essex-born chef started out washing pots at his local restaurant aged just 14, going on to train at Michelin-starred Hélène Darroze; Dinner by Heston; Roux at Parliament Square and The Frog in Hoxton.

Alex’s love for British produce is at the forefront of his menu, with dishes such as Lake District Farmers’ smoked beef tartare with caviar, salted egg and crispy rice paper; Scottish butter-poached lobster with sea herbs, burnt pickled onions and bisque; and Charred English asparagus with lemon dressing, girolles, wild garlic and wood sorrel.

His line-up of desserts features clever twists on nostalgic classics, such as Cotton candy floss with raspberries or strawberry powder toppings; Black sesame cookie matcha ice cream sandwich; and—Alex’s party piece—Party popper English strawberries with edible strawberry dust.

He’ll also be highlighting English sparkling wine producer, Hattingley Valley, and Sandford Orchards cider.

Throughout the pop-up, Alex will be supporting a charity close to his heart: the Roy Castle Cancer Foundation, with all proceeds from his Dad’s bread and whipped butter going to the foundation, in honour of his late father.
