The Wellington Lounge is an ideal meeting place for an early morning coffee and pastries, famed afternoon tea or an all-day-menu featuring classic seasonal dishes.
Standing proudly on the former site of 145 Piccadilly—Queen Elizabeth II’s former childhood home—the Wellington Lounge pays respect to its heritage by offering traditional afternoon tea with a modern twist for an experience fit for royalty. Our team has created an extensive menu of teas with the East India Company, complementing the various dishes available. Blending the best of tradition with contemporary twists, the menu presents a style to suit all tastes.
Immerse yourself in a truly regal experience at The Wellington Lounge every day from 1 pm to 5 pm, with live music from 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm, Thursday through Sunday.
A semi-private corner lounge is available to accommodate small events and group reservations of 15 people or less. You can also enjoy live music from 7.30 pm, Thursday to Saturday.
Elizabethan Royal Tea
Join us for a luxurious afternoon tea inspired by the legacies of the late Queen Elizabeth I and II, whose shared love for decadent teas and confections shaped the tradition of afternoon tea.
Take a seat in the opulent surroundings of the Wellington Lounge for an afternoon of beautifully hand-crafted savoury finger sandwiches, delicate cakes and homemade scones, all served on beautiful new Wedgewood English bone china.

A tale of two Elizabeths
From the ‘Royal Warrant’ Salmon & Caviar Bliss and Monarch’s Coronation Chicken Royale, inspired by Elizabeth II’s famous 1953 coronation dish, to the Elizabeth I Syllabub, a pastry royally adorned with a sable as a nod to the Virgin Queen’s love of these sweet confections, this symbolic spread celebrates the reigns of these two majestic monarchs.
Hand-selected by Tea Master, Lalith Lenadora, our new tea menu features over 20 infusions from across the globe, including three exclusively curated blends, such as the Elizabeth II, crafted with rooibos from South Africa, vanilla from Sri Lanka and delicate rose petals as an ode to the Commonwealth.
